On 19 October 2024, something powerful happened at Lollapaluza PJ – a safe, vibrant space was created where women gathered not just to talk, but to break barriers, challenge stigma, and build each other up.
The EmpowerPlus Coffee Chat, an initiative by Miss Stellar Queen International, was not your typical meet-up. It was real. It was raw. And most importantly, it was reassuring for every woman who ever felt overlooked or underestimated.
Led by Sherlyn Chan, the founder and owner of Miss Stellar Queen International, the session opened with heartfelt introductions and an open floor for women to express who they truly are. Sherlyn, known for her fearless advocacy and drive to challenge stigmas, especially surrounding body image and societal expectations, brought her full energy into the room

The conversation kicked off with “Breaking Barriers” – a segment that tackled the harsh realities plus-size women often face in the modeling and pageantry world. Women shared stories, struggles, and most importantly, how they’ve risen despite the odds.
Then came the question: Model or Pageant? Participants reflected on their dreams, passions, and the paths they aspire to take. Whether runway or advocacy platform, each voice mattered.
Sherlyn then took the stage again for “The Power of Confidence”, sharing her personal journey and empowering every woman in the room to embrace their uniqueness, stand tall in their story, and stop dimming their shine for societal approval.
To end the day on a high note, the session wrapped with a group picture to capture not just beautiful faces, but bold spirits and radiant smiles.
